I am SUN Chenghao, a fellow with Center for International Security and Security(CISS) of Tsinghua University, Council Member of The Chinese Association of American Studies, also a visiting scholar at Paul Tsai China Center of Yale Law School in 2024. I would also like to thank my research assistant, ZHANG Xueyu, for co-founding this newsletter with me.
ChinAffairsplus shares Chinese academic articles focused on topics such as China’s foreign policy, China-U.S. relations, China-European relations, and more. ChinAffairsplus is an independent platform/thinktank and does not represent the views of Tsinghua University or Yale University. Additionally, the views expressed here do not necessarily represent my personal opinions, but are intended to present the discussions and debates within China’s academic community on specific topics to the readers.
My research interests include U.S. domestic and foreign policy, China-U.S. relations, transatlantic relations, AI and International security, etc. I teach a graduate-level course on Transatlantic Relations in the School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University.
I have co-authored dozens of articles, reports and books. I am a columnist for China-US Focus. My latest books Profound Changes Unseen in a Century and the U.S.-Europe Alliance was published by Popular Science Press in 2023, and The Gravity of Power in the White House: The National Security Council (1947-2019) by Current Affairs Press in 2020. My work has also been published in Contemporary Asia-Pacific Studies, The Chinese Journal of American Studies, China International Studies, International Forum, Northeast Asia Forum, among others. I am also a social media influencer in China on Weibo(新浪微博) with about 1 million followers.
